Eye Care for the Adirondacks is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled cataract surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist to join our established multispecialty practice in Northern New York. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Glaucoma training is welcomed, but not required.
The Opportunity
Join a collaborative team of ophthalmologists and optometrists serving patients across three locations, with the advantage of an adjacent ambulatory surgery center in Plattsburgh. You will inherit meaningful surgical demand, a supportive clinical infrastructure, and the freedom to develop a long-term practice in a community where your expertise is genuinely needed.
COMPENSATION
$400,000 base salary
Productivity bonus with expected total annual compensation of approximately $600,000, based on prior productivity data
Sign-on bonus based on experience
$10,000 relocation reimbursement
$6,500 annual CME allowance
PRACTICE ADVANTAGES
Approximately 600-800 cataract surgeries annually
Operate in our ASC adjacent to the clinic
No hospital call

We are an efficient, physician-focused practice that values productivity and work-life balance. Typical physician hours are:
CLINIC DAYS
8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
SURGERY DAYS
7:00 AM - 1:30 PM

You will be supported by experienced clinical and surgical teams committed to efficient patient flow and excellent outcomes.
We are equipped with a host of modern instruments: Optos, Zeiss OCTs, Lumenis Selecta Duet YAG/SLT, Zeiss Lumera Microscopes, Alcon Centurion Phaco Systems, and much more. We have an onboard retina surgeon to help and assist with complex cases. We have excellent clinical and surgical staff to assist you in caring for patients and to help make your day go smoothly.
