Job Brief: Comprehensive Ophthalmologist
To evaluate and treat Ophthalmology conditions and ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery is provided. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Summary:
The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia’s largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente members. Our focus is on long-term health, effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Care is delivered across 40+ specialties at 26 medical offices featuring state-of-the-art equipment, labs, imaging services, and pharmacies. We also provide surgical services and around-the-clock care at some of the area’s top hospitals. We invite applications for a specialist in Comprehensive Ophthalmology at our Gwinnett medical center.

What You Can Expect:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams, prescribe medication, and perform ophthalmic surgeries within training scope including cataract surgery.
- Diagnosis and treat eye disease and visual problems.
- Provide patient care in medical and surgical eye conditions.
- Educate patients on their condition and treatment options and work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Minimum Requirements:
- MD or DO, completion of an ophthalmology residency
- Board Certified or Eligible
- Currently licensed or able to obtain license in the State of Georgia
- BLS
