Locums Ophthalmology in Virginia - Flexible Schedule, Surgery Mix

This assignment combines clinic and surgical ophthalmology care with flexible weekday coverage, offering variety across procedures and patient visits.

Practice & Cases

• Outpatient ophthalmology with surgical component
• Adult and adolescent patient population
• Procedures include cataracts, IOLs, and glaucoma care
• High clinic volume with dedicated support staff

Schedule

• Monday through Friday coverage
• Clinic hours 8am to 5pm, earlier start on surgery days
• 3 to 5 days per week based on availability
• Call included during coverage

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Active Virginia license required
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required

Logistics

• Airfare provided
• Lodging accommodations arranged
• Rental car included
• Mileage reimbursed
