The Physician Assistant will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations, assisting in surgical procedures, and managing a broad spectrum of ophthalmic cases with precision and professionalism. No holidays, weekends, nights, or weekends.

Compensation: $120,000.00 for new graduates; higher based on ophthalmology experience. Incentive pay based on productivity negotiable

Work Location: In person, Monday-Friday 8-5

Requirements

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage patients under physician supervision.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and conducting examinations.
Diagnose and treat common ophthalmic conditions within the PA scope of practice.
Assist physicians with in office procedures and surgical procedures.
Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests and imaging, and learn to perform routine refractions.
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and postoperative care.
Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure high quality patient care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current Physician Assistant license in the State of OR
NCCPA certification required.
DEA license (or ability to obtain).
BLS certification.
Prior ophthalmology experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with a strong interest in ophthalmology are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, busy, fast paced, patient-centered environment.
