Urgent Opportunity Needed for Anesthesiology in Virginia! Approximately 2 hours from Lynchburg! We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a full-time locum assignment at a high-volume, fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center. This temporary role is crucial for maintaining smooth operationsand ensuring patient safety during the specified period. Key Responsibilities: Provide anesthesiology services in an ASC environment, covering a variety of cases including Gastrointestinal (GI), Ophthalmology (Oph), General Surgery (GS), Orthopedics (Ortho), Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), and Pediatrics (Peds). Perform nerve blocks competently and efficiently. Supervise a team of four Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). Work collaboratively within a team of two supervising doctors across up to five operating rooms. 50% of cases are GI-related, with no vascular or neurology cases. Schedule and Duration: Coverage is required from June 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend or on-call requirements. Candidate Requirements: Board Certified in Anesthesiology. Experience in fast-paced environments and proficiency with performing blocks. Pediatric anesthesiology experience is preferred.
